Strawberry chips

Dried strawberries are simple to make and delicious to eat. The drying process concentrates the strawberry flavor and makes the strawberries as durable in a backpack as raisons.

Ingredients:

Strawberries

Directions:
  1. Slice the strawberries into slices between 1/4" and 1/2" thick
  2. Arrange on the dehydrator tray so they are not overlapping
  3. Dehydrate until leathery

With most dehydrators, the strawberries will be done in 6-12 hours

Monitor carefully at the end of the process to avoid over-drying.

Step 1 - Slice the strawberries into slices between 1/4" and 1/2" thick
Step 2 - Arrange on the dehydrator tray so they are not overlapping

So many recipes do not give the temps for drying the food.

My dehydrator has recommended temps in its manual for each types of food. I'm not a rawest... I just use dehydrated foods in place of the garbage gummy snacks for my kids. My dehydrator says to do strawberries at 135. Try checking your manual to see if you can find any instructions on temperatures.

Recommended temperatures can vary quite a bit. We have a rough guide to recommended temperatures here: http://www.dehydratorreview.net/articles/what-look-good-food-dehydrator If you're on a raw diet, you'll generally want to keep the temperature below 120° F.
