Today we’re going to unbox the NESCO FD-80 food dehydrator.
We just got this delivered from Amazon so we need to remove that box first.
We’ll speed things up here to keep it from getting too boring.
Here’s the box the FD-80 comes in.
You can see that Nesco still uses the American Harvest brand. Nesco bought American Harvest back in 1997.
Let’s open this box now. Again, we’ll speed things up.
Here we have the base, the 4 shelves, and the powerhead, still in it’s packaging.
Let’s unwrap the powerhead.
Now that everything is unwrapped, let’s take a look at what we’ve got.
First up is the base, which the trays stack on.
The FD-80 comes with two beef jerky spice packets, and an instruction manual, that contains some recipes.
The FD-80 ships with 4 trays total. It also includes 1 mesh insert, to use with sticky foods.
The fan and heater are located in a powerhead, which sits on top of the trays. The powerhead has a temperature control knob and comes with handle to make it easier to lift it off the trays with one hand.
That’s it for our NESCO FD-80 unboxing.
