This timer is a good way to give a basic timer function to a dehydrator that doesn't have a timer. The available settings are:
- Continuous run
- 1 hour
- 2 hours
- 4 hours
- 6 hours
- 8 hours
This timer doesn't display remaining time. However, as it runs, the illuminated LED changes according to how much time remains, so it gives you a basic idea of how many hours are left before shutoff.
Eight hours is not enough time for longer dehydration jobs, but it makes sense to check the food at least every 8 hours anyway. When you think the batch of food you are working with is close to being done, you can use this timer to shut down the dehydrator in one, two, four, or six hours.
