Lemon pecan banana chips

Lemon pecan banana chips - the final product

By themselves, dried bananas are already very good, with a chewy rich flavor reminiscent of good taffy. By dipping the bananas in lemon juice, then coating them in crushed pecans, we transform them into a snack that almost tastes like a desert bar. Delicious.

Ingredients:

2 bananas - cut into 1/4 - 3/8 inch pieces
1/2 lemon - juiced
1/4 cup pecans, crushed

Directions:

Peel and cut bananas. Juice lemon into bowl big enough to dip bananas. Soak bananas pieces in lemon juice for a minute or two. Roll lemon-soaked bananas in chopped pecans. Place coated bananas on Dehydrator trays. Dry at 135° F for 2 hours, then set the temperature at 115° F or lower for 6-12 hours, or until you get the consistency you're aiming for.
