Clementine Slices

Clementine Slices

We picked up some clementines recently and decided to tray dehydrating a few. The result was interesting. Citrus fruits are mostly water, so you really don't have a lot left when you take the water out. The slices were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside with an intense orange flavor. Interestingly, dried clementine slices are quite good with the skin on. The skin provides a surprising amount of flavor and was not bitter.

Ingredients:

Clementines

Directions:
  • Peel or wash skin of clementine
  • Slice clementine into 3/8 inch
  • Place on dehydrating trays

Dehydrate at 135° for 12 hours

Step 1 - remove skin (optional)
Step 2 - Slice Clementines
Step 2 - Wash skin and slice Clementines
Step 3 - Place on dehydrating trays
Step 4 - Remove from dehydrating trays
