Basic Kale Chips

This is as basic as it gets. Just sea salt, a little olive oil, and kale. Adjust the quantity of salt to your taste. You can easily make some leaves too salty, so take care to distribute the salt evenly.

Ingredients:
  • 1 bunch kale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
Directions:
  • Wash kale and spin (or pat) dry
  • Separate leaves from stem, and place in a large bowl
  • Pour olive oil over kale
  • Toss kale with rubber spatula until oil is evenly coated
  • While tossing kale, sprinkle salt until evenly coated
  • Place kale on dehydrator trays

Dehydrate at 135° for 2-4 hours, or at 115° F (for raw foods) for 3-6 hours (or until crispy)

Step 1 - Wash kale and spin dry
Step 2 - Cut leaves along stem to remove
Step 3 - Measure out sea salt
Step 4 - In a large bowl, pour olive oil over kale
Step 5 - Toss kale with rubber spatula until evenly coated
Step 6 - Place kale on dehydrator trays
Basic kale chips finished - enjoy!
